Parade Entry Requirements:
To ensure the safety of all participants and spectators, the following rules apply to parade entries:
1. Spotter Requirement:
All entries with a vehicle or float that will be throwing candy or handing out fliers must have at least two (2) designated spotters (walkers). Spotters must be at least 16 years old.
2. Safety Guidelines for Spotters:
Spotters must walk along the parade route next to their entry (float, vehicle, etc.).
Spotters must walk to the edge of the crowd to distribute items safely. Candy and flyers may not be thrown from vehicles or floats.
This rule is in place to prevent children from running into the street or approaching moving vehicles.
3. Compliance:
Entries found in violation of this rule may be removed from the parade and may not be allowed to participate in future events.
Parade officials will monitor compliance throughout the event.
